At Mo & Haku, our approach to product development is rooted in a simple belief: what is gentle enough for the most delicate skin should be safe for our pets.

Our formulations are inspired by advancements in Japanese biotechnology, where precision, balance, and skin compatibility are at the core of innovation. We carefully research each ingredient, prioritizing safety, stability, and skin tolerance—using standards often applied to baby care as a benchmark for gentleness in our topical products.

Every formula undergoes an extensive development process. From texture and absorption to stability and consistency, each product is refined through continuous testing and iteration. This process can take over two years, involving multiple trials to ensure that every blend meets our standards for safety, performance, and long-term skin balance.

All formulations are developed in-house within our own laboratory, allowing us full control over quality and refinement. Once finalized, our products are further evaluated by independent laboratories, including SIG Laboratory, where they undergo additional testing to ensure consistency, safety, and reliability.

Our research and development is led by a Certified Aromatherapist with advanced training in biochemistry, supported by a dedicated team that includes a biologist and a pharmacist. Together, they focus on creating microbiome-friendly, botanical-based formulations designed to support skin health and overall well-being.
